The BTES system collects renewable heat for an absorption chilling process and stores it long-term, allowing the facility to tap into this energy throughout the winter when solar thermal panels aren’t generating.
The BTES captures waste heat from three Kaeser compressors. There are also a small number of solar thermal panels installed which generate some additional heat. Software at this installation was developed by Centria.

We launched our BESS in March 2023 and are proud to share our first reference. More installations are already underway, and we’ll update this section with new success stories in the coming months.
We installed solar PV, an ESS70P battery, and an EV charger alongside the thermal system which you can read about in the thermal references. The battery prioritizes self-consumption, sending excess PV energy to the grid only when on-site demand is met.
