The customer is a repeat customer who is a farmer in Loviisa, Finland. The Solar PV and Battery installation were done next to the Heliostorage thermal system. This system includes solar PV production, an EV car charger and the ESS70P dual inverter BESS.

Farm battery customer case
Planning and Installation
The system was ordered and installed during the summer of 2024, featuring a complete setup that includes a solar PV installation, a battery system, and a car charger. This integrated solution ensures reliable energy generation, storage, and utilization, paving the way for efficient, sustainable energy management.
Solar PV Installation
Solar PV panels were installed on both the roof and the walls of the farm building to maximize solar energy capture year-round. This dual approach ensures that even when rooftop panels are covered by snow during winter, the wall-mounted panels continue to absorb sunlight, thereby maintaining a consistent and efficient energy supply.
Battery Installation
As the BESS is plug-and-play battery, installation was just a few straightforward steps. The battery was pushed into place, following which, the solar PV panels, CT meter, and AC connection were hooked up, and the system was switched on.
Commissioning and Operation
The battery has been running since the summer of 2024. It currently runs in self-consumption mode, storing excess PV and only selling to the grid when demand has been met.
